General Plan/ Permit Processing
GUIDANCE FOR SUBMITTING PLAN AND PERMITTING DOCUMENTS
- Regarding Sediment Control Plans, the Harford Soil Conservation District provides plan review and approval for Harford County and the municipalities within (The City of Aberdeen, Town of Bel Air and the City of Havre De Grace)
- Permit processing and any additional reviews are provided by the respective jurisdictions.
- Plan and/or permit submittals are made directly to each of the respective jurisdictions. Applicants are encouraged to contact the specific jurisdiction they intend to be working in for specific submittal requirements for that area.
- The district does require a separate review fee, this review fee and voucher should accompany all initial submittals (unless otherwise exempted)
- Exempt sites from the District Review Fee are public facility projects (such schools, fire houses, police stations and highway improvement projects) all private projects are required to submit this fee.
- The district will review and approve redline revisions, however the (owner/developer/contractor) are required to submit any revised plan to the respective jurisdiction for processing and final approval.
- Regarding Forest Harvest Permits, the Harford Soil Conservation District provides plan/permit review for Harford County. All Forest Harvest Permit Application are to be submitted directly to the Harford County Department of Planning and Zoning Permits Center; applicants are encouraged to contact them directly for processing details.
